THE RACE TO THE BOTTOM

What's even worse are the unions forming in China. It's better to work 90 hours/week for $200/month with 1 hour breaks per 12 hour day than have no job at all. Right? I mean that's the ECONOMIC REALITY.


I love the people that are embracing THE RACE TO THE BOTTOM and calling it "free trade" or "the economic reality".

There was a huge upsurge in Socialism during the 30s. My guess is we're going to see that come back. Especially after Americans have enjoyed such a high standard of living, it's hard to tell them that they should EMBRACE 50 cents per hour for slave labor jobs.

It's cool as long as you have a good paying job. Because you get to buy cheap shit made in poor countries. It's not so cool when you can't find a full-time job that pays more than minimum wage because all the corporations are moving to those poor countries.

Right now free trade is benefiting one group only: the wealthy and the corporate. Just look at all the money corporations have. That's what happens when you squeeze American consumers then hire cheap Chinese labor.


So by all means, hate on unions. We have a saying in Detroit, companies with unions deserve them. Look into the history of organized labor in Detroit for some perspective. People DIED so that they would be treated HUMANLY.

Companies should be passing those profits back to workers, instead the money is being held at the top and passed onto shareholders.

It's easy being a FAT ASS pundit, blogging away about how you hate unions. You're just a fool
